Dan Chester is a filmmaker, musician, and artist from the Hudson Valley. Dan writes, directs, and edits his own films. He also composes for himself and for commissions. His scores can be heard in such films as Good Grief, Open Season, The price We Pay and Paradise Dreaming to which he has earned two IMDB credits. Additionally Dan sings and plays guitar in a rock band named Doldrum.
Dan has been working as a freelance editor and grip.
Dan graduated from Hunter College where he majored in film and minored in art. Through Hunted Hero Comics, the school’s comic book publication, he has printed Issue #1 of The Epic Adventure of Keyro. Issue #2 was sold at HVCC 2018. Updates for Keyro and his many other creations can be found here. Art posts can be unearthed on his Instagram fairly regularly.
Most recently Mr. Chester has teamed up with Mateo Crispi to form a new YouTube channel after spending some time with BatYard Productions where they will post reviews and other videos leading up to a Season 1 release in October of 2020. More information on this project is on the way.
